Erika and Greg: The Wedding

This wedding is a perfect example of why I LOVE to shoot "getting ready" photos.  It is a special time when the bride prepares for what she has most likely been planning her whole life.  I get to capture some really beautiful moments of anticipation, moments that are the reason I never get tired of weddings.  I love to take pictures at them, I loved having my own, and I love seeing my friends get married.  It's such a beautiful day that changes the couples' lives forever.  I feel so honored to be the person who captures their day on film (..."film" you know what I mean).

Here are some getting ready photos I am really proud of...

Greg is a Marine and this ceremony exit is part of their tradition.  His fellow marines formally salute the couple with a sword ceremony as they exit the church... then, the last Marine taps the bride's butt with his sword on the way past.

This picture on the left of all of their guests reminds me of the "guess how many jellybeans in the jar" game.  How many people do YOU think there are?  Getting this many people together for a picture is not for the timid.
