Suggestion for Brides

I recently found a wedding resource for couples called mywedding.com.  They have some really beautiful free web site templates for creating your own wedding web site with photos and information about the two of you and your big day.  The designs are much nicer than what was available from other sites only a couple years ago when I got married.  They also allow you to choose the colors from your wedding to customize the theme.  Please post a comment below if you've used mywedding.com to make your own wedding web site.  Or if you make one now... post the link so I can see a real one in action.

Another wedding suggestion (I'm full of suggestions. Want some? Just ask)...

Lighting! You can make a special reception location spectacular with some beautiful colored event lighting. Tiki, one of my brides from last year had used a company called PRI Productions to add some blue under-table lighting at her Casa Monica Hotel reception. I had never seen anything like it and it really added to the mood. You can also have uplighting on the walls and ceiling and spotlighting on your cake and centerpieces. Lighting adds a lot of punch and dramatically enhances the ambiance of your reception. Sometimes DJs can provide colored lighting for the dance floor that also looks great in photos. Really, if you had to cut out the wedding favors for lighting, I think you'd be so happy you did.

Here are some before and after photos I found on petersoneventlighting.com. They show a very elaborate event but this works just as well for simple locations or even outdoor receptions with tents.
