What a crazy day. This session was on one of the worst weather days. We shot these at Anastasia State Park and it had been raining all afternoon so the air was sticky and warm. Also the dogs did not want to participate in the session when we first started. They were running circles around us and pulling their leashes to see and sniff everything. Ali, the cocker spaniel, got her fur covered in sticky seed pods from the weeds. I tried calling their names, treats, and barking to get their attention but none of it worked. Finally I decided to just have them "be dogs" and have Jen and Mike walk them. That seemed to keep them occupied and get the best expressions out of them. Jen and Mike were really good sports through the whole session.
