When we started looking for a wedding photographer we had a few specific things in mind: we wanted someone who would respect our interest for a particular style of photos and someone who would capture the beauty of the day with vibrant colors. Browsing the photos from several Florida's photographers, in many cases we found only a few shots from each wedding portfolio that we really liked. From our wedding alone, hundreds of our 1,100+ pictures were simply perfect- we can hardly even narrow them down for an album! Everyone comments how our photos look like they are straight out of the finest wedding magazine! We are particularly excited by our couple shots in beautiful locations around St. Augustine that provided magnificent diverse backgrounds for photography- the historical downtown streets and houses, the bay by the Castillo de San Marcos, and the grounds of the Mission of Nombre de Dios. And on another note, I've updated the "splash page" of the web site. This is the first page where there are two buttons: one to go to the photography site (my business) and one to see the videography site (my husband, Jay's business). Previously the buttons just read "photo" and "video" but I have realized lately that this may be misleading. Jay and I LOVE to work together at weddings but technically our businesses are separate. I changed the buttons to reflect our actual business names: Alison Miller Photography and Simply Wed Videography (his site can also be reached from his own web address, SimplyWedVideo.com).
FAQ: What do separate businesses mean to our clients? Though we have each assisted with shooting for the other, we specialize in one thing. I edit all of the photos and Jay edits all of the video. We meet clients together when they are interested in both services but if you have a question about Videography... he's the expert. And vice versa.
FAQ: Do you offer a package with both, photography and videography services? (we've been asked this a lot lately) We have separate wedding contracts even if you book both of us to shoot your wedding. But we do offer an incentive when couples book both of us for their wedding. If you book both of us (not applicable for the smallest videography package) you will receive a CD of all of your digital images in addition to the album and other goodies that come with your package.
